The Renaissance age was when people started to care about what they wore. As the trade increased, fancy clothes and costumes became more common. The rich had clothes made from all kinds of jewels, furs, and silks, and could have up to 300 pairs of clothing to wear. But peasants on the other hand, only had 1-2 pairs, and in some areas they were not allowed to have silk and all the other expensive materials.

WOMEN
Most women wore long dresses with puffy sleeves. Rich women always liked to be dressed head to toe in fancy golden jewelry and expensive gems. For women, blonde hair was very "in". To get their hair blonde some people belched their hair, or wore a wig.

MEN
Men would wear colorful 'manly' tights, with a shirt and coat called a doublet. Most of the time the coat was tight. Hats were also very popular for them to wear. Mens hair styles changed all the time, ranging from long hair with a clean shaven face to short hair with a pointy beard.
