PANDORA: FIRST WOMAN ON EARTH
Pandora was created by Hepheastus on Zeus's orders. Zeus wanted revenge because Prometheus had stollen fire from Mount Olympus. Prometheus was changed to a rock to forever be eaten by birds : ( If that wasn't enough, Zeus decided he would trick Prometheus's younger brother Epimetheus into falling in love with Pandora. Pandora was created out of clay and water, each god gave her a gift: Apollo taught her how to play music, Athena taught her how to weave, Demeter taught her how to garden, Aphrodite taught her the useful facts of looking at a man without moving your eyes + how to dance without moving her legs. Poseidon gave her a pearl necklace promising her she would never drown, Hera gave her Curiosity and finally, Hermes gave her a mysterious pithos (otherwise known as 'pandora's box') Hermes told Pandora never to open the box. Pandora was thought to be the most beautiful woman in the world. So when Epimethus saw Pandora, they instantly fell in love. After they were married, Pandora kept the Pithos on the table, polished and shined for everyone to see. But because of her gift of curiosity, Pandora could never stop thinking about what could be in the Pithos. She tried everything to stop thinking about it, but nothing worked. So one day when her husband wasn't there, she opened the box. Instantly, evil ghost sprits flew from the box. Every kind of evil, illness, and worry imaginable. Pandora slammed the box shut, keeping in one spirit: Hope
MINOTAUR: MONSTER
The Minotaur was a gigantic man-bull who roamed around the labyrinth. The bull was always hungry for humans, and to avoid conflict with the king of Crete, the Athineans sacrificed 7 men and 7 woman to go wondering off into the labyrinth for the Minotaur to eventually eat. Theseus was a man who did not like this idea. So posing as one of the 7 men he snuck away into the labyrinth. He was fallowed by Ariadne. Ariadne was one of the king of Crete's daughters. She was deeply in love with Theseus, so she helped him by supplying Theseus with a sword and a magic ball of yarn to leave a path of string where he had already been. He managed to defeat the Minotuar, and escape safely. But then he gave a lame excuse to Ariadne, and abandoned her on a island. Later Dionysus found her, and comforted her. Later they were happily married.
